During the 2016-2019. teachers of the department were prepared and defended two candidate dissertation works:
- Bondarenko L.A. Economic Assessment and Feasibility Evaluation of the Marketability Increasing Means of National Dump Trucks.
The thesis is dedicated to the theoretical generalization of the scientific methods as well as elaboration of the practical guidelines in economic assessment and feasibility evaluation of the marketability increasing means of national dump trucks on the innovative basis. Rationalization for essence of the concept “Dump Truck Marketability” is provided. Methodological approach to evaluation of the dump truck marketability is developed on the basis of integral coefficient subject to effect of the economic performances upon the performance capability. It is developed a scientific method of forming of the competitive positions of the dump trucks, being aimed to the fuel costs minimization within transportation of mine rocks. Methodological principles of the economic assessment of choice of the dump truck model for transportation of mine rocks in quarry are proposed. Scientific methods of selection of the implementation means of innovation project on development and production of the innovative dump truck.
- Bieloborodova M.V. Organizational and economic support of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises.
The thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical positions, scientific methodical approaches and practical recommendations for the organizational and economic support of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises. The theoretical and methodological basis of the thesis is the concept of sustainable development, theory of ecological management, research by Ukrainian and foreign scientists on problems of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises. In order to solve the tasks of the research, the following general scientific and special methods were used: theoretical generalization and method of abstraction - for studying theoretical foundations and the current state of the system of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises; logical-analytical method and generalization - to expand the classification of environmental development strategies of industrial enterprises; methods of expert assessment - when forming tools for assessing the level of environmental initiative of industrial enterprises; standardization and valuation of variables - in developing the methodological approach to assessing the level of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises; factor analysis - in determining the factors of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises; general-to-specific method - to determine the specifics of the choice of environmental development of industrial enterprises; correlation-regression analysis - in establishing the relationship between the level of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises and the level of morbidity of the population in the cities of their presence. The conceptual-categorical apparatus of the theory of ecological management has been improved by clarifying the definitions of “environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises”, “environmental initiative”, and “ecological commitment”. The environmental responsibility of an industrial enterprise is defined as a set of mechanisms, tools, measures for the implementation of its environmental initiative and ecological commitment. Ecological commitment is defined as a set of environmental liabilities towards the local community and administration. Environmental initiative of an enterprise is seen as a system of environmental management programs or strategies that go beyond the regulatory requirements 19 established in the field of environmental protection. Extended classification of ecological development strategies of industrial enterprises is given on the basis of their regional prevalence with allocation of the protective, compensatory (sufficiency), and proactive strategies. In the research, the toolkit is proposed to assess the level of the environmental initiative of an industrial enterprise as an integrated index of the environmental initiative, ft is represented as an arithmetic weighted average of ten parity indicators of ecologically proactive behavior of industrial enterprises. Methods of criteria qualitative determination such as expert evaluation and questioning has been offered to achieve the objectives of the research. The system of assessment categories includes ten indicators evaluated on a 10-point scale and weighed by their significance. The methodological approach to the assessment of the level of environmental responsibility of an industrial enterprise is improved based on the factors of their ecological commitment and environmental initiative and their stimulating or unstimulating influence on the level of environmental responsibility of an industrial enterprise. Scientific notions about the nature of the impact of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises on the socio-economic development of local communities are clarified. Quantitative evidence is provided for the strong impact of the level of environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises on the level of morbidity of the population by diseases of the respiratory organs in the cities of their location. The scientific principles of choosing an environmental strategy for the development of industrial enterprises are improved. It involves taking into account the current level of environmental responsibility of the industrial enterprise and the ecological conditions of the population living in the cities of their location. Practical recommendations are given for implementation of organizational and economic support of environmental responsibility in the development strategy of industrial enterprise taking into account the influence of its environmental initiative and ecological commitment.
